As a longstanding resident I would like to congratulate the Eastleach Parish Council on their clearing of the area known I believe as Butts Green.
This was, many years ago, a popular area of accessible green and river space, and my children, along with many other local youngsters spent many happy hours playing and swimming there.
It is so good to see it being tidied up after such a long time of being a local eyesore.
Only once in over 40 years have I known it to have been misused and I am sure some of us can remember it being used as a film site.
We are very privileged to live in such a beautiful area and we should be generous enough to be able to share a little of it with our outside visitors.
