Welcome to the 5th edition of the new CHEQS Magazine! It’s now changed from being a church parish magazine, to a community magazine – supported by representatives of the five village communities, Coln St Aldwyns, Hatherop, Quenington, Eastleach and Southrop. To reflect that change, you’ll notice a few differences. Instead of having the vicar’s letter, we’ll be inviting a different person each month to write a short piece.

Dave Wadge, one of the Quenington posties, will be joining others in the GL7 area in delivering the mail on Saturday in fancy dress - many will have seen pics of posties Tim & Sam in Fairford doing that for the past week or so!
Gloucestershire police had no time for excuses including visiting friends, seeing a girlfriend and heading for a takeaway with a large group in the car as they continued to ensure people stay home and protect the NHS

Delivering milk - and much more - for delivery company Milk & More, is the six-day-a-week job for Phillip Northam, who lives near Poulton. He started work as a milkman back in 1975, when he realised that a milk round would pay him more than his job of delivering bread for a Cirencester bakery.

Unfortunately I’ll have to cancel Frolics Day this year! Due to everything going on and following guides lines set, it won’t be possible to run the event this year ?
It may be a possibility of running the event another date which will be discussed later in the year.
This will be the first time Eastleach will be without a Frolics day in such a long time, but this means it will have to be bigger and better next year!!!
Staying at home can be stressful. If you're concerned that a neighbour, friend or family member could be experiencing domestic abuse please do something. Give them a call or a text and setup a code word if they're in need of urgent help. Please remember never to confront a perpetrator or talk to a victim in front of them.

In recent years, the Eastleach and Southrop parishes have come under the care of the vicar of Lechlade, Andrew Cinnamond. This change was necessary due to a serious lack of clergy, and because some ‘retired’ priests are actually wanting to retire! With the encouragement of the South Cotswold Team Rector, Andrew has proposed a radical way of serving the people of Eastleach parish.
