One of the most important competitions of all time is set to take place in less than a month.

A number of chefs around the Cotswolds will battle it out to be crowned the Cotswold’s best Yorkshire pudding maker as 2020’s Yorkshire Pudding Competition launches – and this year there is a twist.

Cotswold chefs from five different restaurants will battle it out to see who is crowned the winner but this year one member of the public is invited to take part.

All you need to do is send a picture of your best Yorkshire Pudding to contact@straight-pr.co.uk.

The restaurants taking part include The Bull Hotel, Fairford, The Golden Cross Inn in Cirencester, The Riverside Inn of Lechlade, The Priory Inn in Tetbury and The Angel Hotel of Royal Wotton Bassett,

The Bull Hotel in Fairford are this year’s newcomers and manager Steven Pitt is confident of a result, saying: “I used to work with mark Lindesay at The Golden Cross Inn and I know he keeps his recipe even away from the chefs. He won it in 2017 and will be looking for revenge.

“We have a strong kitchen team here so we may go in as underdogs but are confident of a result.”
