Dear Neighbours
Many thanks to those who came and joined us in the village hall last Saturday to kick off the festive season with some mulled wine and delicious nibbles after the candlelit carol service at St Andrews. An especially big thank you to those generous folks who contributed their home made goodies; it is fair to say that no-one went home hungry. Plus a big cheer of course for Steve and Vince (and their festive jumpers) who manned the busy bar so brilliantly.
We managed to lure c50 folks out on that miserable wet night and raised over £170 to go towards the essential repairs needed for the hall, while also having a great get together. Thanks to this and other fundraising efforts, plus the grants the committee have manged to secure, hopefully next time you visit the hall you will see some progress being made. The first stage of the work will start in the new year.
