Following on from Saturday’s sell out, standing-room-only village hall, Eastleach Biennial Celebration to in aid of the new village playground, I think it’s safe to say we have a tremendous talent for fundraising as well as singing, joking, acting, making music, raffling, baking, roasting, eating and drinking.
Not forgetting laughing A LOT.
From takings on the night and related donations of just over £2000, we cleared £1602.17p profit.
Which is just fantastic!
A massive ‘thank you’ to everyone living in Fyfield and Eastleach who contributed their time, their talent, their money, their Aga, their baking/washing up skills, their muscle, their livestock, their instruments, their goodies, their cellar and their sheer goodwill. It would not have been the success it was without such amazingly generous support and donations. You are too numerous to list here, but you all know who you are.

Various bits of admin:
- Several people asked for the slaw recipe – click here.
- Click here for the slow cooked pork recipe. It only works on Wade Pigs. Forget about the crackling instruction. (Bossy? Me?)
- The sourdough bread rolls came from the Shilton Bakery and they deliver still- warm loaves to Eastleach on a Saturday afternoon – firstname.lastname@example.org
Finally, for those of you who are interested, Martin Squire DID find his trousers on Sunday morning.
