MATT DAWSON – PROTECTIVE VISOR PRODUCTION (An update)

Last month Matt Dawson achieved his target of raising funds to make 1,000 safety visors to help protect NHS staff and other carers around Gloucestershire from the COVID-19 coronavirus. A busy band of helpers (including Matt’s wife and older son, and other family
members and friends) have assisted with preparing, checking, packing and delivering the visors to key workers around the county, including care homes and surgeries in and around Cheltenham, nurses on the COVID ward at the Gloucester Royal Infirmary, as well as Hilary Cottage surgery and the Hyperion care home in Fairford.

The design and quality of the visors have been praised by those receiving them, “…they’re brilliant. Really high quality and comfortable to wear. Thanks so much!” said Dr Liz Acaster . She added, “My colleagues were admiring the shape because it’s easy to fit your stethoscope into your ears whilst wearing them, without contaminating yourself.”

Thank you to everyone who donated to the JustGiving page, and especially to Matt and the team of helpers for achieving so much in such a short space of time.
