I have been nominated by the Village Hall Committee to organise the maintenance of the area surrounding the village hall. During 2015, 26 people took part, very successfully, in a rota to maintain the playground and the areas to the front and back of the village hall. It involved working in small teams of 3 or 4 for a few hours twice a year, carrying out some weeding and general tidying of the areas.Â
The playground gives pleasure to many of our children and families. And of course the hall is used by most of the villagers, at some point during the year. There have been many positive comments about the condition of the grounds in 2015, and we hope to continue this work in 2016.
If you feel you could give some of your time to help in this project we would be very grateful. The more people we have on the rota, the less each team has to do. Should you decide to volunteer please let me know as soon as possible as the rota will be drafted over the next couple of weeks.
