Waste and recycling collections – Bad Weather

LATEST UPDATE 30 JANUARY

Waste and recycling collections will continue as usual today (
30 JANUARY 2019 ), although there may be some delays due to the icy start in some places.

The latest weather forecast from the Met Office shows that significant snowfall is predicted during Thursday afternoon/evening and a yellow medium impact weather warning will be in place.

This means that waste and recycling collections could be delayed on Friday 1 February.

Our environmental services provider Ubico Ltd will continue to monitor the weather regularly to assess whether it remains safe to carry out kerbside collections of waste and recycling. In the meantime, residents are advised to leave their refuse bins, recycling boxes and bags, kitchen caddies and garden waste bins (if subscribed to the service) at the kerbside as usual.

To keep up with the latest information on our waste and recycling collection schedules please see our website(opens in a new window) or phone the waste hotline 01285 623123 during normal office hours (Monday to Friday).

For weather updates please see the Met Office website
