Eastleach Apple Pressing Day

Everyone is welcome to bring apples and get them pressed in the Village Hall garden from 2pm alongside the boot sale.

It has been a thin harvest for apples this year, but tree owners are normally delighted to give any away particularly if there is a bottle of juice in return so ask friends and neighbours or go scrumping locally. Any apples will juice, we always mix up eaters and cookers.

It is best to collect the apples a week or two beforehand to allow them to ripen as it makes much better juice, just keep them dry and away from the birds.

All you need are containers for your juice and a strong arm to help with the pressing.

We will be there from 1pm so do come along to sample some of last years cider and learn about juicing and cider making.

Contributions to the Hall Fund would be welcome.
