FOOD BANK, CAN YOU HELP ?

Recent chats to several people in Eastleach showed that there was interest in arranging the collection of donated items for the Swindon  food collective from our community.

This organisation helps approx 5,000 families in the Swindon and district area  [ approx a third of these are children] and needs are greater than ever before in this Covid 19 pandemic situation. Our Parish Church, St Lawrence  in Lechlade has been collecting for this food bank for some time and during the current crisis has a box inside Lynwoods cafe in Lechlade for donations which are then delivered to the food Collective.

Your support for this food bank would be gratefully appreciatedOur collection box will be positioned just inside the gate at no 37 Eastleach.

I will ensure that any food given will be added to the Lechlade collections. The following non perishable items are of particular need:

Small jars of coffee 100 g

Small packs of teabags

Long life milk [1 ltr/0.5 ltr]

Long life fruit juice

Small bags of sugar [500g]

Tinned fruit , vegetables, meat, tomatoes and puddings

Tinned potatoes.

Other items such as toiletries are very welcome too.

Very Many Thanks,
Sue and Brian Souter
